Support Matthew Whaley Students & Teachers!

Hello new and returning Patriot families, and welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! The Matthew Whaley PTA is a dynamic group of families, friends, and school staff who join forces to provide enriching experiences for students and support our MW community. When you join the MWPTA, you automatically become a member of the Virginia PTA as well as the National PTA.

Membership Dues:

INDIVIDUAL Membership (1 member) – $5

FAMILY Membership (2 members) – $10

HOW TO JOIN

Online through our membership store. Click here to go there now.
MWPTA Membership form. Download and print the form and return the completed form AND payment to a PTA member or send in a sealed envelope marked “MWPTA” with your student to school. Cash or personal checks (made payable to MWPTA) are acceptable.

Why join the PTA?

By becoming a PTA member, you will be supporting the oldest student advocacy group in the USA. Dues for the MWPTA support activities and student enrichment at the local, state, and national levels. At MW, the PTA provides support for families and classrooms by purchasing school supplies, reading materials, and other curriculum needs. We also fund field trips at every grade level, ensuring that all students can participate in these important experiences.

Why volunteer for the PTA?

The MWPTA is for everybody, and we want our membership to truly reflect the diverse and amazing MW community. If it is right for you, there are many opportunities for you to become involved, meet other caregivers and staff, and lend your hands to support the goals of the MW PTA. As a volunteer, your time commitment can vary depending on your schedule and availability. ALL participation is valuable!
